***In early 2025, Willow Springs Raceway was purchased by new owners committed to preserving its legendary legacy. While we are not affiliated with them, our organization is focused on safeguarding the track’s future by securing the surrounding land to protect operations and keep this iconic motorsports community thriving for generations to come.***

Save Willow Springs is a grassroots preservation effort dedicated to protecting the historic Willow Springs International Raceway in Rosamond, California. Founded by passionate motorsports enthusiasts and supported by the nonprofit WISPR MPG (Willow Springs Motorsports Preservation Group), our mission is to safeguard one of America’s oldest permanent road courses from the growing threat of development pressure and land-use conflicts.

As racetracks across California face closure due to noise complaints, urban sprawl, and shifting priorities, Willow Springs stands out for its unique opportunity: it is surrounded by open desert land, offering a rare chance to proactively preserve its future. We're working to acquire and conserve hundreds of acres around the raceway to build a protective buffer and prevent the encroachment of incompatible development.

But this isn’t just about saving a track. It’s about keeping automotive culture alive — for racers, builders, spectators, and future generations. Through community support, land donations, and long-term planning, we aim to create a motorsports sanctuary that includes educational programs, enthusiast facilities, and expanded public access, all while protecting the spirit and legacy of Willow Springs.
